our Talented Team

Brittany

Taphouse and Social Media Manager

Brittany has been a part of the craft beer industry since 2015 and joined our team in early 2020. Most days you’re much more likely to find her behind the camera than behind the bar, but she always loves getting the chance to pour pints and chat with guests when she’s not busy behind the scenes running social, planning events and designing merch.
Favorite Beer: Too many. But top 3 from this past year would be Publick Helles, Witherbeer, and Springbok Stout.
Favorite Local Charity: A few of the organizations Brittany loves to support are Park Circle Cares, Southern Tails for Precious Paws and The Boon Project.

John

Head Brewer

After completing undergraduate degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and marketing, John did his formal brewing training at the Siebel Institute. He started brewing professionally in 2014 and came on board at Commonhouse in 2019. Most days you can find him brewing (duh), but also nerding out on spreadsheets, increasing efficiencies, and fermentation times. To translate: making better beer faster.
Favorite Beer: Cloud Down and Birra Magnifico
Favorite Local Charity: I’m from Memphis so St. Jude’s is a big one for me, and as a former teacher, any organizations that support literacy are top of my list.

Pearce Fleming

Proprietor

Pearce Fleming is an accomplished and award-winning homebrewer. In addition to his homebrewing experience, Pearce has completed the Institute of Brewing & Distilling’s General Certificate in Brewing exam. Outside of brewing, Pearce has served in healthcare administration, been responsible for leading one of the largest healthcare consultancies in the country, as well as developed multiple quality, education, and wellbeing technology platforms serving patients, providers, insurers, and employers. Pearce’s family roots lie in rural South Carolina and the mountain’s of western North Carolina. He was often entertained in his youth by his Grandaddy’s stories of running shine from his home in the mountains to the state capital of Raleigh to help with expenses while attending North Carolina State University. His grandfather always laughed about the time he was caught and hauled in front of the school’s disciplinary board, saying, “Little did the President of the University know that nine of the ten people on the board were my regular customers.” True to form, Pearce’s father’s first words when told of the plan for Commonhouse, “Well, you know you’re going to have to pay the Revenuers their due.”
Favorite Beer: While I love all of our beer, you are most likely to find me enjoying one of our hop forward offerings, especially our West Coast IPA, Looking East.

Brittany

Brand Manager

After working in the technology industry for many years, Brittany began her craft beer career back in 2015 when she, along with her husband and two friends, co-founded Two Blokes Brewing in Mt. Pleasant, SC. In addition to pouring thousands of pints, she designed and built out the taproom, established and implemented standards of service, managed front of house operations, events, and marketing before leaving the industry in 2018. After a few year hiatus working in real estate, she hopped back into the industry in 2020 as the Taphouse Manager for Commonhouse Aleworks, eventually moving into her current role as Brand Manager. While her day to day at the brewery generally involves shooting photos and videos, running social media, planning programming, and supporting internal teams, her passion is driving Commonhouse’s mission of expanding inclusivity, supporting the communities within their market footprint, and making beer for the common good. She loves working with all the dedicated, enthusiastic, and just plain cool people that call craft beer home.
Favorite Beer: Too many! But top 3 are Haus Gold, Witherbeer, and Encore!
Love to Support: A few of the organizations Brittany loves to support are Pet Helpers, Neighbors Together, & The Walk to End Alzheimers.

A long-time lover of craft beer, Ryan has traveled the country visiting breweries for the past decade, collecting friends and stories along the way. During that time, he began homebrewing as a hobby and first joined the craft beer industry professionally in 2018. Outside of this industry, the majority of his career - until joining Commonhouse Aleworks in 2021 - was spent in the private security field, managing various teams and systems. Most would describe Ryan as someone that has never met a stranger. He has a passion and respect of life, community and all that craft beer can represent.

Harrison French is a brewer here at Commonhouse, he and his dog Chaco recently moved to Park Circle all the way from Minnesota. When he's not brewing beer you can typically find Harrison adventuring outdoors with Chaco. Whether it's running, hiking, camping, or paddleboarding, the two do just about everything together. Harrison is excited to be part of the Commonhouse team and hopes that you'll come have a beer! There's a pretty good chance you'll even see Chaco hanging out on the patio!
