Live music with Pop Rock Cult

Local cover band Pop/Rock/Cult is relatively new to Charleston, taking shape as a five-piece outfit with drummer/vocalist Mike Besta, bassist Sandip Roy, and guitarists/vocalists Joe Fisher, Daniel Bennett and Frank Royster.

“The musicians in the band have come from an original music background,” said guitarist/vocalist Daniel Bennett. “It’s a good way for us to keep our chops up and has turned into a real fun enterprise. We have a working song list of at least 200 songs. I think there’s something for everyone.”

“Anything from 1971 to 2022, we play,” Bennett said. “We all have such different perceptions of music and there’s a big variety at play. If I had to put influences on the board — anyone from Prince to Neil Young to Rihanna. We have such a broad palette.”
