SC Beer Mile Championship

Commonhouse Aleworks & Charleston Beer Week present the 2nd Annual South Carolina Beer Mile Championship! Missed out on last year’s race? It’s back and better than ever! Never heard of a beer mile? You’re in for a good time!The race will follow official Beer Mile rules and will consist of consumption of one beer, run one quarter mile, and repeat 3 times. Penalties will be assessed for throwing up before finishing, and for leaving more than 4 ounces of beer for the 4 laps. Beer will be provided and each runner will receive a pint glass.
This is an individual and team event. There will be an open race, an open relay, and a brewery relay. Cost will be $30 for Individuals and $65 for a four person relay team (all 4 members must be 21 or over), and registration is via Run Sign Up.
PARTICIANTS MUST BE 21 OR OVER TO ENTER (ID’s WILL BE CHECKED AT PACKET PICKUP) There will be an after party at Commonhouse Aleworks featuring an awards ceremony, live music, & giveaways.
For safety reasons, please be responsible and arrange for transportation home after the event (Uber or Lyft). Race numbers will only be given out at the event, after a race waiver is signed.
